When Cherish and Radek first considered their dream wedding, one place immediately stood out: Lake Como, Italy. Known for its stunning scenery, luxurious villas, and romantic allure, Lake Como has long been a sought-after destination for couples worldwide. For Cherish and Radek, the blend of classic Italian charm and a sense of timeless elegance made it the perfect location to exchange vows. Here’s how they turned their dream into a reality, navigating the unique journey of planning a wedding abroad while creating a day they—and their guests—will never forget.
Why Lake Como?
Cherish and Radek, had always loved the idea of a destination wedding, and they were drawn to Italy for its romance, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. After several visits to Italy, Lake Como captured their hearts. “It felt like the ultimate fairy tale,” Radek explained. “From the mountains cascading into the crystal-clear waters to the picturesque villas, Lake Como was exactly what we envisioned.
Old Hollywood movies and Gatsby style were our inspiration. We have come up with a new interpretation of an elegant classic, to which we added the ambiance of a Hollywood movie and the charm of Gatsby with the help of furniture, details, textures, correctly placed accents, and music. We created a mood that allowed guests to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of Italian charm.
The Wedding Day: A Dream Come True
As the big day arrived, Radek & Cherish were surrounded by loved ones who had traveled from London and beyond to share this moment with them. The day began with a breathtaking ceremony on a Villa Balbianello terrace overlooking Lake Como.
Classic ceremony with Ave Maria by Bach for ring exchange and at the end of the ceremony, the bride and groom jump through a broom, as a sign of entering a new life, leaving all problems behind.
After registration, guests took boats to Villa Theodolinda. The photo zone with Gadsby-style details was so amazing, and the atmosphere was created by light jazz, feathers, pearls shimmering in the sun, and tables decorated with beautiful table settings and printing.
After the gala dinner, guests were treated to another surprise - a dance from the couple, and the spectacular end of the show was the presentation of the cake.
For Radek and Cherish, every detail was a meaningful part of their vision. “We wanted our guests to feel like they were part of something magical,” Cherish said. “Seeing our friends and family immersed in this setting, enjoying the food and dancing under the stars—there was no other place we would have rather been.”
