This can be a difficult decision because Italy has so many amazing places to get married, but there are many factors to consider, number of guests, budget, wedding format and so on. Don't worry friends, we are here to help you! Here are the TOP main things to consider when choosing a wedding location and date.
BUDGET
Italy is home to thousands of beautiful locations such as villas, castles, vineyards, luxury hotels, borghi and spa villas that can accommodate your wedding. Your wedding planner will discuss the pros and cons of each and help you narrow down your search. Depending on the wedding venue where you want to get married, the cost can vary greatly. Once you've liked a few places, you can start looking for dates. Keep in mind that during the summer months and weekends prices may be higher, being flexible with your dates will give you a better chance of finding the perfect date and possibly a better price. Peak wedding season is between May and October and dates fill up quickly.
GUEST LIST
Another thing to consider when choosing your wedding location and date is your guest list. When choosing a location, you should consider the number of rooms at the location or, if you have more guests than the venue can accommodate, how close the neighboring hotels or villas are located.
It is also important to consider how easily your guests will get there. If you have guests coming from all over the world, choose a location within an hour or two of driving from main airports to make it easier for them to travel there. (We often see this when couples have guests from different countries, a wedding in Italy makes a lot of sense since they are in the middle!)
You should also think about whether you want a 1-day wedding or a multi-day wedding, and what kind of experience you want to offer your guests. The type of venue and your guests' style —whether they're very active or like to relax—may influence what and where you choose. There's always something to do in Tuscany, and who really would turn down the opportunity to spend a few days in Tuscany!?
